Pedro Aflague Cruz 19th Co., 6th Psyop Bn. KIA 22 May 1967

PEDRO CRUZ was born on June 29, 1935. He became a member of the Army while in Agana, Guam and attained the rank of SSGT (E6). Pedro was assigned to the 19th Psyop Company, 6th Psyop Bn., the forerunner organization to the 4th Psyop Group. On May 22, 1967 at the age of 31, while supporting the 101st Airborne Division near Duc Pho, Quang Ngai Province. Pedro's team was caught in an ambush and came under heavy fire. Pedro gave his life in the service of our country, and was awarded the Purple Heart (for a previous action) and the Bronze Star with "V".
