Sgt. Charles B. Kitowski, III, , 31, of Farmers Branch, Texas, was one of three soldiers killed when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan on August 12, 2007.

He was a member of the 345th Psychological Operations Company, 2nd Psychological Operations Group, U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command.

SPC Joseph A. Jeffries, 21, of Beaverton, Oregon, died 29 May 2004, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, when his vehicle hit a land mine. He and three Special forces soldiers died in the explosion.

PFC Jeffries was assigned to the Army Reserve's 320th Psychological Operations Company, Portland, Oregon.



                           

 


SP4 Adam Kinser, 21, a reservist serving with the the 304th Psychological Operations Co. (Sacramento, CA) was one of six soldiers killed Thursday, January 29, 2004, when a weapons cache exploded 90 miles outside Ghanzi, Afghanistan. More




                                         



Army Sergeant Thomas Edward Vandling, Jr., lost his life in Iraq on January 1, 2007, during his service to our country in Operation.

Vandling served with the 1113th Tactical Psychological Operations Team, 1110th Tactical Psychological Operations Detachment, 303rd Tactical Psychological Operations Company.

Sgt. Vandling was on his second tour of duty.

He was killed on New Year's Day while on combat patrol when an improvised explosive devise detonated near his vehicle near Babil Province in southwestern Baghdad.

Sgt. Adam L. Knox, 21, died in Baghdad Tuesday, 17 September, 2006 when his patrol encountered enemy forces using small arms fire during combat operations, according to a news release issued by the Pentagon.

He was assigned to the Army Reserve 346th Psychological Operations Company based in Columbus, OH.



                                   
 
Staff Sgt. Michael Anthony Dickinson II, 26, of Battle Creek, Michigan, died July 17, 2006, from wounds sustained while engaging enemies of the United States in Ar Ramadi, Iraq.

SSG Dickinson was a psychological operations specialist assigned to 9th Psychological Operations Battalion, 4th Psychological Operations Group, here. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in December 2005.    More



                                   
 


Six weeks into his deployment, Army CPL George Anthony Lutz, II, of Chesapeake, VA, was killed by sniper fire in Iraq on 29 December 2005.

Lutz, 25, was killed Thursday when his patrol was attacked by small arms fire in Fallujah. He was assigned to the Army's 9th Psychological Operations Battalion, 4th Psychological Operations Group, at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Staff Sgt. Michael G. Owen, 31, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Cpl. Jonathan J. Santos, 22, of Bellingham, Wash., were fatally wounded on 15 October 2004 while conducting vehicle-mounted loudspeaker operations with the 1st Marine Division in Karabilah, Iraq.

Both men were psychological operations specialists assigned to the 9th Psychological Operations Battalion, 4th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, N.C.

LTC Charles H. "Chad" Buehring, killed Sunday, 26 Oct 2003, in a rocket attack on the Al Rasheed Hotel, Baghdad, Iraq.

Buehring was assigned to the U.S. Army's Central Command as the senior psychological-operations officer in Iraq.

CPL Joseph Clement Ratti, 1st Loudspeaker and Leaflet Co. was listed as MIA 30 April 1951. He was presumed dead 31 December 1953. (The Field Service Document # 0182A)

  PFC David R. Cooper, 1st Loudspeaker and Leaflet Co., was killed 16 July, 1952.1 He was 24 yars old and from Decatur, GA.

 


PVT Anthony Edward Arezzo, 1st Loudspeaker and Leaflet Co., was killed in South Korea on 15 June 1953. Pvt. Arezzo was 20 years old, from Auburn, New York. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

  PFC Bernard Almeida, 1st Loudspeaker and Leaflet Co., was MIA, then declared dead on July, 1953.15 June 1953. He was 21 yars old and from Bristol, Rhode Island. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
