JOHN LYNCH was born on July 19, 1948. He became a member of the Army while in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania and attained the rank of Sp4 (E4).

On June 15, 1969 at the age of 20, JOHN LYNCH gave his life in a helicopter crash, Long Khanh Province.

"He was a great guy. Quiet, humble and a man who hated heights but never refused a or tried to get off a "Chopper".

I remember once we had completed a mission and we had a Major and captain flying the 'slick.' They were rockin & rollin' and John was kinda holding on for dear life. I was sitting on the floor, feet hanging out and looked at him and he was smiling. He sat down with me and really enjoyed the ride.

We must never forget our KIA's!"
