BIDDING PRODUCER (FREELANCE)

Position Overview

  • Will be responsible for creating, analyzing and presenting bid packages to the client on behalf of the Psyop Production team
  • Will work closely with various leads and department heads to assess and analyze the needs of the entire project as well as the required post production work
  • Should have full understanding of the entire Animation/VFX process and pipeline
  • Will attend and coordinate initial client meetings relating to potential projects
  • Will work closely with the Head of Production to evaluate post-delivery numbers, comparing bid to actuals in order to improve future methodology
  • Will work closely with the Executive Production team to research and engage new client relationships and opportunities
  • Maintains project expectations and deadlines by helping track daily priorities, distributing status updates, and proactively following up with appropriate teams

Responsibilities

Will include but are not limited to;

  • Creatively assess the work required to complete the project and provide bid days for VFX breakdowns in line with Psyop pipeline
  • Communicate with client to obtain detailed information required to complete bids
  • Facilitates the hand-off of bids into production
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all projects currently in progress as well as projects in the bid process
  • Provide accurate and accountable information to the studio regarding the financial viability of projects and workload requirements
  • Must stay up-to-date with knowledge of studio capacity and talent capabilities in order to effectively create bids
  • Monitor project progress, acting accordingly to ensure project completion and quality as scheduled and within budget parameters
  • Identify any potential issues/problems with projects in process, formulate responses, identify any areas for workflow improvement and providing solutions
  • Must be able to establish and set a reasonable budget and schedule, working with the production team to ensure viability of the set budget and schedule

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years experience working as a producer in the field
  •  5+ years experience producing high end commercials
  • Must have a strong understanding of the 2D & 3D pipeline and process
  • Solid understanding and experience with budgeting, scheduling and actualizing
  • On set experience preferred
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment and have strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CETA iCFM and Shotgun software a plus
  • Familiar with AR/VR and new media
  • Must be self motivated, show initiative and exude calm in stressful situations
  • Must have a passion for animation, design and live action production
  • Must be highly organized and show a keen attention to detail
