POSITION OVERVIEW
- Will deliver a project from start to finish with potential of conforming an edit
- Will perform all tasks associated with the compositing process, including but not limited to 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, color grading, 3D projections, and roto/paint
- Will be expected to make elements appear as if they were all part of the same scene by utilizing various compositing techniques
- Will work closely with VFX supervisor and producer in achieving the highest creative and technical standards of work
RESPONSIBILITIES
Will include but are not limited to:
- Composite cg and live action elements to create groundbreaking visual effects
- Collaborate with fellow artists and supervisors to meet production deadlines using communication skills
- Must be able to tackle all shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, animation and creation of elements
- Matte extractions from blue/green screen plates, matte edge processing and integration
- May be required to pick up other artists’ scripts
- Taking feedback and applying them efficiently
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university
- Intern should be available to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks
- General knowledge of Nuke and Adobe Creative Cloud programs
- Experience in editing is a plus
- Basic understanding of the animation process and pipeline is highly preferred
- Able to adapt in a fast working environment with problem solving skills
- Ideal intern will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, creative and responsible with a passion for VFX and animation
