Position Overview

  • Creates a dynamic vision for the Psyop project that supports project requirements
  • Will plan our and create layouts for animation sequences, helping to convey compelling story with shot framing and composition
  • Will work closely with Directors, Animators and Production teams to translate the vision into reality
  • Must provide creative solutions to any problems related to aesthetics that may arise


Will include but are not limited to;

  • Assemble scenes with 3D assets and environments reflective of storyboards
  • Complete assigned or required shot layouts per instruction from lead
  • Create temporary  animations for Characters, Creatures and vehicles within a shot, with emphasis on timing and performance
  • Work with Directors and Animators to understand the look and style of sequences to be previsualized


  • Must have prior experience with previz using Maya
  • Must posses 3+ years of experience within VFX/Animation industry
  • Must possess previous experience rending as well as animation skills such as modeling, rigging, shading
  • Should possess work experience that encompasses use of varied skill set such as character animation, rigging, crowds


  • Must demonstrate strong animation skills, as well as basic Maya generalist knowledge such as modeling and shading. Basic rigging knowledge is  a plus
  • Should have knowledge of basic cinematography principles (framing, camera angles and lenses, cinematic lighting, and shot composition in general) and the ability to apply them in context
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of real world physics and body mechanics
  • Should have strong staging abilities and an understanding of 3D layout and composition
