Originally from Sydney, Australia and residing now in the feature film capital of the world, Los Angeles, Fletch has been working in features, television, and commercials for the last 20 years.

At Psyop, Fletch shaped the now iconic Clash of Clans advertising campaigns. Working with agency Barton F Graf, Fletch helped build out intricate backstories which gave dimension to characters that previously only existed in pixels on cell phone screens. In doing so, he wove these fictional personalities into the fabric of pop culture, ultimately building a fan base so large and voracious that it often consumes these films by the millions within hours of launch. Fletch’s 2015 Super Bowl ad for Clash, featuring a hilariously angry Liam Neeson, was called the most popular spot of the game by The Guardian and the single most watched ad of the year with over 165 million views on Youtube.

Fletch began his career in stop motion animation in 1997 while studying Visual Communications at the University of Technology in Sydney. He trained with an industry giant – the late Paul Berry, best known for his work on Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach. After graduating, Fletch worked as a Model Maker and Puppet Fabricator on feature films including Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, The Matrix, and Red Planet. He went onto to work at Cartoon Network and then with directors Smith & Foulkes where Fletch led the production of the animated short This Way Up which was nominated for the Best Animated Short Oscar® at the 81st Academy Awards.

On the advertising side, Fletch has directed award-winning campaigns for global brands including Coca-Cola, Comcast, Honda, TD Ameritrade, Toshiba and Supercell. Tackling each commercial brief from the storyline first, he is at his best when defining that core spark to the emotional narrative – a skill he’s honed from working on original content properties for film studios and networks.

He is currently developing an animated feature and TV series with Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation.
